Thank you to all of you that have left comments about Harriet. I came home from work today and it was so strange not having her at the door. She always met me at the door. I said hi and asked her how she was doing anyway. :(

Harriet will always be right by your side, waiting at the door and sleeping at the end of the bed..she really hasn't gone far at all.:)

The local SPCA had a hauntingly beautiful poem about pets who have to leave us for a better place. If I can find it, I'll post it on my site for you. I agree though, that the ones who leave us are in a better space, but one that is not far away. How else could they look after us. For those guardian angels we have are only our own true loved ones, keeping watch. Including animals, such as Harriet and Zeke. My Louisiana Catahoula Leopard dog who bit one too many person. He loved his kids and family, but hated strangers. Right now, he and Harriet are nuzzling noses and smiling down on us. Love, Joe
