My Dad just called to let me know Mom just came out of surgery. The surgeon is sure it is cancer but he is also confident that he got it all. It had wrapped around her bowel so that is why she has been having problems. She is still asleep but she went in with a really positive attitude. Her bedmate went in for the same thing and did a great job on improving Mom's outlook. She will be needing chemotherapy. He thinks she will be released Tuesday morning.

This is a positive outcome, chemo will make her feel a bit terrible but by the end she will be so much better and it sounds to me as though she will make it through with flying colors. I am sending posiive and healing energy your moms way and as always you are all in my prayers.

Wow! Things happen fast around here! :) Happy birthday to the birthday boy... Sounds like a great way for him to spend it, driving a tractor and feeding the ducks.

Good news about Mom. Out of the hospital on Tuesday! Fabulous. And very positive words from the surgeon. All positive. Onward to chemo.

Things are looking brigher, Barbara!

Good to hear that you mom is okay, my aunt had similar surgery, and later she had serious bowel complications and had to be rushed to the hospital for several days, but shes definetly feeling better now, so I hope your mom does too! I'll keep reading regularly!
