What is new in my world? I am off tomorrow because I worked a stat holiday last month and I banked a day off. I get a day off right in the middle of the week! I am intending to stay up late reading then sleep in just a little then spend the day with my kids! I love spending a day with my kids out of the blue.

I have decided to add a section to let you know what I am reading. I am always reading something and you can let me know if you have read any of the books I post and your thoughts. No spoiler posts!

My brand new baby niece is being released from hospital tomorrow if all goes well. She is still very small and still without a name. (still!) I could never go two weeks without giving my kids a name! I had my son named before he was born and had my daughter narrowed down to two names. She was named within 10 minutes. Let's have a poll. How long did it take you to name your babies?

I don't even have kids and I have their names picked out. I've had them picked out for years and now my sis is pregnant and wants to steal one. Not going to happen.

I had a name for each baby before they were born! A boy was always the same, but still haven't been able to use that name.

Have a nice day with your little ones!

Awwww, Charly. What a fantastic book! A tear jerker....

Belee was named a few minutes after she was born. Of course I had the names of a boy or girl picked out already.

My kids were named before they were born too. I had to do it.

I'm a huge cat lover too. Have you ever been to castster.com? Have I already told you about that site?

Husband and I were still arguing about it the day after he was born. He was out of the room when the lady with the birth certificate came in, and I debated just writing down the name that I liked better, rather than the one that we had both reluctantly agreed to, but in the end, we wound up with a Jakob.

When I had my kids they wouldn't tell you beforehand what you were going to have.

I picked a boy and girl name before they were born, so they had a name as soon as they were born.

I had names picked out months before they were born!... Picking out names is one of my most favorite things to do... Heck, I had a baby name book when I was like 13 years old and circled the names I liked for the future. (Still have it. ROFL.)

I had my first one picked before we were actually married (I think we decided on it on our way to our wedding rehersal), the second was decided a week before he was born and my daughter's (because we knew she was a she) was decided on at about 7 months pregnancy.

Oh and "yay"! I can leave a comment!

I have taught Flowers for Algernon.

Never had kids, but I've had many pets, and I used to make bean bag dolls, each one of which I named. I would just hold em up under their armpits, look at their lil faces, and say, "You look like a ______." I was never dissatisfied with the names later on, and I think they were okay with em, too.

I have four, so here we go. Child #1, was named (Daniel Noel Wiley...) before he was born. Child #2 was named before he was born but sister-in-law (yes the one who recently passed away) talked hubs into changing it. We'd decided on Joshua Jacob. She said he'd go through life being called JJ (like that was bad or something). Anyway (yay Piggy's fav word) we settled on Joshua Foy (after Granpa) the next day. Child #3 was named in the hospital. She almost went home unnamed. We couldn't agree on a name for her. Fortunately a comprise was met and she went home Kasey Leigh. Child #4 was to have been a girl. His name was to be Shannon Elizabeth. He however was born with an extra part that made that name a tad in appropriate, so he became Robert Matthew instead. I wanted to stick with Shannon but hubs said that was 'gay'. I kid you not. Yep, he's that kinda guy!
So now you know wayyyyyyy more about my kids names that you ever really wanted to.

I don't have kids, but it took me a couple of days to find the perfect name for my cat. I had to judge his personality first. BTW, what's your cat's name?
