Last night my heart was racing again. It was frightening! Today I went back to my doctor who set my fears to rest. Whatever I have is not imminently serious. I am not going to have a heart attack or a stroke but it sure feels like it. He said it is likely tachycardia ventricular-some-name-I-cannot-remember. Worst case scenario I will have to go on heart medication which really sucks considering I don't smoke, drink, do drugs, drink coffee or do anything fun! I eat fairly well and exercise. However, heart medication is better than being tits-up.

The last several months I have been having a heart arrhythmia and tachycardia. Other than the odd, "Hmmm that's odd" I have not thought much about it. This last week it has been happening a little more and last night it was quite bad. I went to see my doctor today on my lunch break who ordered a immediate ECG. He also ordered a 24 hour heart rate monitor for next week. My normal resting heart rate is at between 90 -110. That is high! I haven't received the results of the ECG but I am guessing it is normal ot I would have heard back. I realize a resting heart rate can vary according to ones fitness level but I am not that out of shape. He feels the problem may be electrical. Tonight I am going to take a rest from exercising and will talk to him tomorrow about what he suggests until I get the results back from the heart rate monitor.

Just a note to all men. Don't wear Speedo's. We as women don't like it. (Yes, I am speaking for every woman on the face of the earth!) We think it is disgusting. You look like weirdo when you wear one! We are in no way attracted to you when you wear a Speedo. On the contrary. It freaks us out. Do I make myself clear? Good. Then I shall be safe from your image for now and evermore when I go to the pool! Thank you!

Remember when I posted about letting my son keep some frogs that he found? It didn't turn out too well. Norbert (That Cat) took a strong interest in watching the crickets that were given to the frogs . He knocked the entire aquarium off the counter and the frogs and crickets are now nowhere to be seen. So that means somewhere in my house are 2 frogs and 10 crickets. Unless That Cat ate them.

Would someone please tell me what the hell people are doing at the grocery store when they shuck corn then throw it back onto the pile? Was there a corn shucking unit that I missed in school? Most of the corn that is thrown back is perfect! Of course there are always the cobs that are stunted in growth or that are past ripe. I throw those back too. But what is wrong with all the others? I usually end up getting the stuff other people have half shucked and it ends up being delicious. Seriously. I feel like the Corn Cob Ignoramus.
Last night while not sleeping I came up with a list of what once were perfectly fine names but are now on the list of "Names to NOT Name Your Offspring".
- Adolf
- Kermit
- Damien (Though I know a few and they always are a little bit freaky)
- Butch
- Woody
- Dick
- Gay
- Johnson
That is the end of my list. Do you have any to add?

A raise always brings more responsibility. I have worked overtime everyday this week and have been given the keys to open and close. I don't want the keys! That puts me responsible for more than I care to admit. I don't want the responsibility. Bah. I prefer being a sluggard! (Just kidding!)
Seriously, I don't like working overtime but it will increase my pay cheque (pay check for those south of the border.) I have one very small debt I need to pay off to my strata committee then I can start putting some away for savings. I don't own a credit card and choose to only buy what I can afford to pay cash for. I have followed this principle all of my adult life with the exception of a mortgage and a student loan. I am hoping with this increase in my pay cheque I will be able to start saving for a new car. (Well, new to me anyway.) My Mazda is 18 years old and though she runs like a dream I know she can't keep going forever. My kids are getting older and I am fairly certain my daughter is going to need braces so the money won't stay in savings for long!
Other than that I have no plans for the money. I believe in Simple Living. (Though I have a TV, I don't have cable. This computer is not quite a dinosaur but will soon be one. I buy second-hand clothes and don't ever buy extravagant. Quite honestly, I have lived this way for so long I don't think I would ever handle winning the lottery! (How pathetic is that?)
